That being said, I was browsing Sampleism, an independent soundware distribution service, and I discovered this product by Aira Sounds.
Fellow composers, you may not need to worry about spending thousands of dollars for a lacking proprietary sample library known as current East West Quantum Leap products for an orchestral sound after all! This particular library only accounts for the 1st violin ensembles, unfortunately, and I estimate the whole orchestra when available may cost somewhere around the price of Symphonic Orchestra Gold, but even then, this is proving a much bigger bang for the buck.
For only 50 GBP (30 if you get it VERY soon), you get a much more advanced violin ensemble than what East West Quantum Leap currently offers, AND, it accounts for multiple microphone positions instead of forcing you to use one form of loud reverb in your samples, a very annoying problem with the more affordable East West Quantum Leap products especially.
That's all for now.
