Novas do E.I: Blog, Jogo e TV
In regards to my last blog entry, I remember emphasizing that there are quite a few "if"s involved with whether School of Insanity (or Escola da Insanidade, in Portuguese) will become a successful TV show. As of last night, most of the "ifs" have been resolved: the idea HAS been accepted, and I WILL write the music! A pilot episode will begin development in the next month or two. While this still doesn't guarantee even one entire season will be developed, it is certainly still a milestone both for me and for its creator, Camila Alli Chair.
Here is her deviantArt journal, if one understands Portuguese and wants to read the details directly from her. Novas do E.I: Blog, Jogo e TV As a part-time soundtrack composer, I have had close ties with a good friend of mine, Camila Alli Chair, who's in charge of a conceptual animation project called School of Insanity (Escola da Insanidade). Well, it turns out this dream of Camila's (and mine) may become a reality soon, judging from a recent journal entry by her on deviantArt. English translation is the bottom half.
Escola da Insanidade na TV, talvez? According to enquiries I made personally to her, this may also mean I will get a full-time position as composer for this series if it is indeed accepted! Unfortunately, this will also mean that there is a VERY high chance I will be much slower on other music projects, even despite this series, if accepted, will produce two episodes monthly instead of the standard of one weekly episode, especially as I also have another offline job and classes to worry about, depending on when production would begin. I acknowledge with all the "ifs" that there is a chance this series will be rejected. However, it is virtually confirmed that Camila will at least have a position in the studio, which could, in turn, lead to it being accepted later on. Keep fingers crossed for both of us. |
